Your complimentary consultation is where the plan is created.

Connie will look at your natural hair, including its length, thickness, colour, condition and growth pattern. She will ask what you want to achieve and how you normally wear your hair.

From there, she can recommend whether Great Lengths is suitable and explain:

how many extensions may be needed
which colours would blend best
whether the goal should be length, volume or both
how long the appointment may take
how to care for the extensions at home
what maintenance is involved
what result is realistic for your natural hair

How do I look after Great Lengths extensions?

Great Lengths extensions need proper home care to keep them looking beautiful.

You will need to brush them carefully, avoid pulling at the bonds, use suitable products, dry your hair properly, and follow the aftercare advice Connie gives you. You should also return to the salon for any recommended maintenance or removal.

The better you care for them, the better they will look and feel.

Process

  1. Consultation — Assess natural hair, discuss desired length/volume/colour, recommend method (tape-in, clip-in, micro-ring, keratin bond).
  2. Colour matching — Extensions matched to hair colour. Custom blending of 2–3 shades.
  3. Preparation — Hair washed, dried, and sectioned.
  4. Application — Tape-in, micro-ring, keratin bond, sew-in, or clip-in applied per chosen method.
  5. Blending & cutting — Extensions cut, layered, and blended to match natural hair.
  6. Styling — Final blow-dry and style.
Duration: 1–3 hours • Lasts: Tape-in 6–8 weeks. Keratin 3–6 months. Micro-ring 3–4 months.
Aftercare: Gentle brushing from ends up. Sulfate-free shampoo. Avoid heavy conditioner near bonds. Sleep with hair loosely braided.
