Extension Re-moulding

Extension Re-Moulding

Beautiful extensions deserve a second life.

Already have premium extension hair that’s still in great condition? Instead of replacing it, Connie can carefully remove, refine, and rebuild your existing extensions into a fresh new application — helping you get more wear from the hair you’ve already invested in.

With over two decades of experience working with all major extension brands and application methods, Connie specialises in transforming existing hair into a new format, whether that’s keratin bonds, nano beads, tapes, or another method better suited to your hair and lifestyle. The result is a seamless, natural-looking finish that feels fresh, secure, and beautifully blended.

This is a highly specialised service that many salons don’t offer. When your extension hair is still soft, strong, and reusable, there’s often no need to start from scratch. Through expert re-moulding, your hair can be restructured, refreshed, and reapplied with the same level of precision and care as a brand-new set.

It’s a smarter, more cost-effective, and more sustainable way to maintain your extensions without compromising on quality. Each reapplication is carried out with the integrity of the hair in mind, preserving its softness, movement, and luxury feel for as long as possible.

Because every set of extensions is different, a complimentary consultation is recommended. Connie will assess the condition of your existing hair, advise on the most suitable reapplication method, and give you an honest recommendation on whether your extensions are suitable for re-moulding or whether a fresh set would be the better option.

Ideal for clients who need maintenance, repair, repositioning, or a complete method change using their existing hair extensions.

  1. Removal — Existing extensions are carefully removed:
    • Tape-in: Adhesive solvent is applied to dissolve the tape. Extensions are gently peeled apart.
    • Keratin bond: Bond remover is applied, then bonds are broken down and slid off.
    • Micro-ring: Rings are unclamped and extensions are slid out.
  2. Natural hair care — Client’s natural hair is washed, conditioned, and assessed for any damage or breakage. A treatment may be applied if needed.
  3. Extension prep — Removed extensions are cleaned, re-taped (if tape-in), or prepped for reattachment. Any damaged or worn extensions are replaced with new ones.
  4. Reattachment — Extensions are reapplied to fresh sections of hair closer to the root, accounting for natural hair growth since the previous application.
  5. Blending & trim — Extensions are blended and trimmed to maintain a natural look.
  6. Style — Final blow-dry and style.

Duration: 1.5–3 hours depending on method and quantity. Frequency: Every 6–8 weeks for tape-in. Every 3–4 months for micro-ring or bond.
