Extension Remodelling

Already have extension hair in good condition? Instead of replacing it, Connie can remove, refine, and rebuild it into a fresh application — giving you a new set of extensions using the same premium hair you’ve already invested in. With over two decades of experience working with every major extension brand and application type, she specialises in carefully reworking your existing hair into a different method entirely, whether that’s keratin bonds, nano beads, or tape. The result looks and feels just as seamless and natural as the original install.

This is a highly specialised service that most salons simply don’t offer. When your hair is still soft, strong, and in great shape, there’s no reason to start from scratch — it can be restructured and reapplied with the same precision and care as a brand new set. It’s a smarter, more cost-effective approach that extends the life of your extensions significantly, and it reflects a more sustainable way to maintain your look without compromising on finish or quality. Each reapplication preserves the integrity of the hair so the final result feels just as luxurious as day one.

As every set of extensions is unique, a complimentary consultation is recommended so Connie can assess the condition of your hair and determine the most suitable method for reapplication. She’ll give you an honest assessment of whether your extensions have more life in them or whether it’s time for a fresh set — and if it is, she’ll match you with the right brand and application for your hair type and lifestyle.

Maintenance, repair, and repositioning service for existing hair extensions.

  1. Removal — Existing extensions are carefully removed:
    • Tape-in: Adhesive solvent is applied to dissolve the tape. Extensions are gently peeled apart.
    • Keratin bond: Bond remover is applied, then bonds are broken down and slid off.
    • Micro-ring: Rings are unclamped and extensions are slid out.
  2. Natural hair care — Client’s natural hair is washed, conditioned, and assessed for any damage or breakage. A treatment may be applied if needed.
  3. Extension prep — Removed extensions are cleaned, re-taped (if tape-in), or prepped for reattachment. Any damaged or worn extensions are replaced with new ones.
  4. Reattachment — Extensions are reapplied to fresh sections of hair closer to the root, accounting for natural hair growth since the previous application.
  5. Blending & trim — Extensions are blended and trimmed to maintain a natural look.
  6. Style — Final blow-dry and style.

Duration: 1.5–3 hours depending on method and quantity. Frequency: Every 6–8 weeks for tape-in. Every 3–4 months for micro-ring or bond.
